Hello my mad lovelies!
You all know how excited I was to announce that I was in the Clara’s Big Ride documentary about mental health across Canada. Well, if you couldn’t watch the documentary live on CTV or forgot to set up your PVR, don’t fret! It’s available online.
Hi Marisa,
My name is Tracey and I just saw you on Clara’s Big Ride doc. Amazing! Thank you. I have undiagnosed depression, have had my whole life, I’m 42 now.
What you said about feeling shame about not having the right to feel badly when so many others have so many bigger issues to deal with really hit home. That’s pretty much why I’ve stayed silent. When I say silent, I did try talking to my husband who is normally quite support, but to this, I don’t think he knew what to say and we’ve never talked about it again. Anyways, I’m not sure what more to say than thank you. I still don’t know if I’m ready to have a voice yet but at least I know I’m not the only one out there feeling like this.
Congratulations to you, best of luck always and thank you.
Please take care.
Tracey

Hi Tracey,
I’m glad that you took the time to watch the documentary & that it resonated with you. However, I really hope you have found support & treatment for your depression. And you say that you aren’t ready to have a voice, but you just told ME your story. You have a voice. And it’s important.
Take care of yourself,
Marisa
